It’s Our Photo Friday

(We don’t have Thanksgiving in the UK, so it kind of didn’t occur to us – sorry!)

OK, so we’re back (better late than never, eh)!   In light of Queen Of Photo Friday Cali’s current IVF crisis, we have decided to scrap this week’s Photo Friday and replace it with Grover Friday.  Because Cali loves Grover, and a mass of Grovers cannot fail to make her smile, right?

So to show your support, please post a picture of Grover on your blog this Friday.  Thank you!

This week I figured I would announce a theme that everyone willing would participate in. We all have fingers! So take a photo of your favorite digit and share it with the rest of the class. Special points given to finger puppets and finger foods.

This week let’s have some fun with abstract. Showcase a groovy photo featuring a button. Honorary mentions will go to photos that are “Cute as a button” and 3 points will be given to those that photograph their butt on something.  But really what I am looking for are swank and creative photographs of those little circles or pegs on your clothes.

I know. I have been slacker crap with themes and I have no excuse.

So here is your theme for this week, m’dears: LIGHT!

This can be a photo of your favorite lamp, sunset, aura, flashbulb, diet cereal (lite, get it?)…Or maybe there is a groovy photo in your collection where you just swear you can see so an so’s aura…Whatever “light” means to you I want to see it.

I know, I KNOW – so tardy with a theme this week.

Since participation is kind of low right now I figured I wouldn’t box you guys in. And by “you guys” I mean the creative folk that upload photos.  So how about this week, and by week I mean from now until next friday, how about you upload and share whatever it is you are snapping.

Got a new piece of furniture? show it off. New baby? ditto. New house/apt/car/purse/hair do/ nail color/key ring…

It’s photographer’s choice.

I am a bit out of practice on theme selection.  It would do wonders for my theme esteem if we had LOTS of participation this week. There, I said it. I’m needy.

Thankfully this theme was actually inspired by a recent post by Fostering Pride.  This week let’s see glamor shots of your favorite kitchen appliance/s.  Does your microwave make you beep? Does your ice-maker make you cool? Does your chopping block cut you up?

Special marks will be given for family or yard sale gadgets.  Gold stars will be given to photos that have recipes.  And the taker of the photo with the most comments will be awarded the honor of picking the theme for next week. Oh yeah, I delegate.
